Through its RM2.2 million zakat contribution for FY2025, Sun Life Malaysia Takaful (SLMT) continues to support communities across Malaysia while fulfilling its responsibility as a takaful provider. Of this amount, RM700,000 was officially presented in June to Pusat Pungutan Zakat – Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ-MAIWP), reflecting SLMT’s commitment to giving back and creating impact for those in need.
Beyond fulfilling its zakat responsibilities, SLMT also took part in the ZAPAR Care Tour (ZACT) 2.1, organised by Zakat Perak Al-Ridzuan (ZAPAR) in Ipoh. The programme offered zakat contributors the opportunity to witness first-hand how zakat assistance reaches asnaf families through home visits and community engagement.
Working closely with zakat institutions enables us to extend the impact of its contribution, ensuring it’s delivered to communities in need. These collaborations reflect our commitment to responsible takaful practices and its purpose of making a positive difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities across Malaysia.
