With seven million Malaysian adults expected to suffer from diabetes by 2025, Malaysia will become the country with the highest rate of diabetes prevalence in Asia. That is why on-going efforts to raise diabetes awareness and prevention are critical.
For the second year running, Sun Life Malaysia is continuing its fight against diabetes by providing free blood glucose screening through the Brighter Health Blood Glucose Screening Programme.
The programme, which runs from June until September 2021, aims to promote early detection of diabetes through a blood glucose test and it is targeted to benefit 12,000 Malaysians. The campaign is supported by four health and wellness partners, namely Walnut Wellness, Roche Diagnostics (M) Sdn Bhd, AM PM Pharmacy Sdn Bhd, and Multicare Pharmacy Sdn Bhd, involving 113 participating pharmacy outlets nationwide.
