Welcoming 2025 with NY Countdown Event: A Brighter Year with Sun Life Malaysia!
As the clock ticked down to the final moments of 2024, Sun Life Malaysia hosted a memorable New Year’s Eve Countdown event on 31 December at the iconic V88 Starhill Gallery. 

The evening was filled with excitement, celebrations and optimism for the future, as Sun Lifers and top-performing advisors gathered to bid farewell to the year gone by and usher in the promise of a bright new year. The event was also graced by the presence of Raymond Lew, President/Country Head of Sun Life Malaysia and Irina Lim (COO).

Adding to the excitement – we illuminated Pavilion KL with a special ‘2024 Countdown Video’. The video lit up the city’s most prominent locations, including the Pavilion Elite LED screen, Fahrenheit’s LED screen, Pavilion Mall’s Connection Screen and the WOLO Hotel outdoor screen, bringing Sun Life’s vibrant energy to life as the clock struck midnight. 

The vibrant atmosphere at the event mirrored the energy and passion that drives Sun Life Malaysia to help more Malaysians achieve lifetime financial security. Here's to more achievements, growth, and success in the year ahead!

InsureLit School Programme 2024 – December Highlights

The December InsureLit School Programme sessions at SJK(T) Kinrara and SK Seri Petaling brought together 35 dedicated Sun Lifers and 266 enthusiastic students for an unforgettable learning experience.

Through the interactive InsureLit board game, students explored essential concepts of insurance and financial planning in a fun, engaging way. Guided by the passion and care of Sun Lifers, complex ideas became meaningful lessons, sparking curiosity and joy among the young participants.

These sessions highlighted Sun Life’s unwavering commitment to empowering young minds and building a brighter future. To date, we have reached out and impacted 887 students.

Sun Life Malaysia Teams Up with KBS for Financial Literacy

On 11 December, we proudly teamed up with Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS) to support their Youth Financial Literacy Programme in Putrajaya. The event brought together 114 energetic youths, aged 20 to 30, eager to level up their financial know-how.

Through the InsureLit board game, young adults explored important financial concepts in a fun and engaging way. The game covers essential topics like budgeting, saving, and insurance/takaful, offering a hands-on approach to Adulting 101. It was an interactive session where players learned key skills to build financial confidence, while also showcasing our InsureLit board game (Advanced Edition), which helped participants take their first steps toward a secure financial future, all while having a great time!
 
Welcoming Alif Satar to the Sun Life Malaysia Family!
On 16 December, Sun Life Malaysia hosted a special signing ceremony at the First Avenue Branch Office, to officially announce Alif Satar as our new brand ambassador. Representing Sun Life Malaysia was Raymond Lew, and he was joined by our MCM members, Sun Lifers and selected advisors.

Alif Satar, a renowned artist, media personality, and entrepreneur, brings not only star power but also a deep commitment to personal growth and excellence. His wide influence and dedicated following make him the ideal partner to champion Sun Life Malaysia’s mission to promote financial literacy and the importance of protection.

The partnership aims to bridge the gap in financial awareness, as many Malaysians remain unprotected against financial uncertainties. Together with Alif, Sun Life Malaysia will spark meaningful conversations on insurance and takaful solutions, empowering individuals to secure their futures.
 
Fireside Chat with Randy Lianggara
On 10 December, Sun Life Malaysia hosted an intimate Fireside Chat with Randy Lianggara, President of Emerging Markets, Sun Life Asia, at our HQ office. The event provided an excellent opportunity for 80 Sun Lifers, including MCM members and Top 70 representatives, to connect with and learn from Randy’s vast experience in the industry.

Randy Lianggara, alongside Raymond Lew, shared his expertise on leadership, emerging markets, and the vision for Sun Life’s continued success in Asia. This engaging conversation was followed by a lunch session, where discussions continued in a more casual and interactive setting.
 
2024 Christmas & Year-End Celebration: A Festive Time for Sun Lifers
On 17 December, Sun Life Malaysia hosted a vibrant and joyous 2024 Christmas & Year-End Celebration at the M Floor, bringing together Sun Lifers for a day of fun, reflection, and festive cheer.

The event featured a variety of games, including mini bowling, giant Jenga stacking, and taking memorable photos at the photobooth provided, ensuring plenty of excitement and camaraderie among attendees. The celebrations were further enhanced by performances from talented Sun Lifers and Senada Tari, showcasing a blend of creativity and teamwork.

A festive lunch was served, offering a chance for everyone to enjoy a meal together while reflecting on the year’s achievements. Our President/Country Head, Raymond Lew, delivered a heartfelt speech, thanking Sun Lifers for their dedication and teamwork throughout the year and looking forward to even greater successes in 2025.
 
Expanding Our Reach: SLM’s Continued Brand Efforts through OOH Advertising
As part of Sun Life Malaysia's ongoing commitment to raise brand awareness, we will be unveiling a refreshed look for our Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising between January and April. Our Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) sites will follow with a staggered rollout from February to December, across various locations and months. Featuring a strategic mix of static and digital placements in key locations, our goal is to ensure sustained engagement while amplifying our key messages as a trusted insurance and takaful provider.
