Industry’s First Shariah-Compliant Prime Family Critical Care-i Rider
Critical illness may strike at any time and often catches us off guard. In the case of critical illnesses, special treatment and long-term recovery may be needed. If that happened, can you afford the best early treatment for recovery? How would your current lifestyle be impacted? You need to put into consideration that despite having good medical protection, there are still expenses that most medical plans don’t cover when it comes to critical illnesses.

Based on this insight, we recently launched 2 new riders. The first is the Prime Family Critical Care-i Rider – the 1st rider in Malaysia that not only protects our Clients, but also extends to their parents, spouse, and beloved children. This new rider is a great way to provide your loved ones with a financial safety net of up to 180% of the rider’s sum covered.

Our Prime Early Critical Care-i Rider, is a unique critical illness plan that provides extensive coverage against critical illnesses from early to advanced stages. This plan helps you to seek early treatment before a covered critical illness worsens. With Prime Early Critical Care-i, you can be confident that you will have a financial safety net during those periods of uncertainty.

These new riders are available to be attached to our SunPrimeLink-i plan, an investment-linked plan that offers both investment and protection benefits.

Transforming Client Engagement to Boost Loyalty
One of the strategic growth objectives under ‘Thrive In Five’ is to create a more engaging and lasting Clients impact.  Hence, the Client Ambassador Team (CAT) - a new programme under the EPIC (Empowering People & Inclusive Culture) and DE WoW (Digital Enterprise Way of Working) framework, was set up to provide Sun Lifers an opportunity to take on the role as Sun Life Malaysia’s brand ambassador and connect with Clients.

Through this programme, first launched in September this year, a total of 216 CAT members from various departments and divisions participated actively to deliver various curated gifts including handcrafted Penan bags, RFID e-wallet, luggage tags etc to 500 Clients residing in the Klang Valley.

The journey may not have been smooth for all CAT members as there were challenging yet interesting animal encounters whereby some were chased by dogs, and some had to wait patiently for buffalos to cross the road, saying ‘hi’ to monkeys whilst seemingly lost in the forest. Through all that, they persevered and soldiered on, emboldened by the courage and passion to deliver a brighter moment to our valued Clients.

Our CAT members outdid themselves in their efforts, bringing to life our Client Pillars of Proactive Contact, Problem Resolution, and Easy to Do Business.
