As a brand championing healthier lives, Sun Life Malaysia has curated various programmes and educational content to help individuals improve their financial wellness as well as mental and physical fitness.
On 10 December 2022, we hosted the grand finale of our signature Brighter Wellness Programme, in partnership with OhanaJo Studio, an award-winning Yoga & Sound Healing Centre founded by celebrity wellness icon, Jojo Struys.
Held at the Glass Space, Menara Ken, TTDI, 77 participants experienced gentle body stretching yoga and relaxation breathwork practices, accompanied by the soft sounds of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, and gongs.
Brighter Wellness is a 6-month wellness programme, which ran from June – December 2022, featuring a string of experiential wellness initiatives to help people take better care of themselves – financially, mentally and physically. During the year, we reached out and impacted 817 people through this Programme.

Christmas celebration came early this year when our HR team hosted its annual Christmas and Year-End Party on 16 December 2022 at Sun Life HQ office, with M floor and 1st floor car park being decked out with enchanting festive decorations to bring on the year-end holiday vibes.
Joining the ongoing FIFA World Cup excitement, the highlight of the event was the Ole Ole FIFA penalty kick competition – where 16 participating teams competed in a friendly inter- department match. All teams fiercely strike their best shoot out, but Selera Park PC team came out on top! Sun Lifers were also spotted in jerseys of their favourite football teams.
Additionally, Sun Lifers were treated to a variety of games, quizzes and a delightful spread of food and drink selection, making it a fantastic way to bid 2022 goodbye.

The 14th Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) Inter-Insurance Companies Bowling Tournament concluded last weekend with our very own SunLifers team taking the 4th placing. The SLM Bolder Team also won the Most Happening Team and the Best Female Bowler, which goes to Marlina Ahmad.
Held at the Sunway Pyramid Megalanes bowling centre, the much-awaited annual tournament gathered bowlers and supporters from 39 insurance companies.
SLM team were represented by Shahrul Akmar Madzlan, Marlina Ahmad, Norhafizah Binti Hassan, Muhammad Faizal Bin Zainal Abideen, Nor Azleina Abdullah, Muhammad Fairus Bin Ahmad, Nadia Shari, Abdul Rahman Bin Maheya, Azahari Aziz, and Mohd Khairiman Bin Mohd Ali.

The award was presented by our Deputy CEO, Ho Teck Seng, to Leslie Gomez – founder of The Olive Tree Group at an award ceremony held on 8 December 2022 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The presentation was witnessed by Guest-of-Honour, YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications and Digital, and Nitesh Malani, founder of SEBA and Chairman of Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia.
Running on its 7th edition, SEBA 2022 honoured a total of 55 exemplary Malaysian entrepreneurs for their outstanding leadership, performance and innovative efforts. The award programme is organised by the Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia and supported by the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (MECD).

23 lucky winners walked away with prizes up to RM100,000 from the "Grow with Every Challenge, Win Your Dream" contest which was jointly organised by MARIGOLD UHT Milk and Sun Life Malaysia. The contest, which runs from 1 September to 30 October, saw tremendous response from the public with close to 15,000 entries.
Among the prizes were cash prizes for the top two winners – RM20,000 and RM10,000 in respective order and RM5,000 cash for six third-prize winners along with iPad Air Tablets worth RM2899 each for fifteen consolation winners.
