Two years into the pandemic, this song aims to evoke what are the much-missed things that would make this year’s Raya celebration memorable. For a new twist, the song’s lyrics drew inspiration from comments from Malaysians who participated in our ‘Raya Lebih Bermakna’ FB contest.

In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, our Agency Distribution team hosted a Special Tazkirah and Buka Puasa reunion for our agency representatives.
More than 85 guests comprising agency leaders and advisors attended the event which was held at our all-new 1 Utama Branch on 8 April 2022. Present were CEO, Raymond Lew, DCEO, Ho Teck Seng, and Head of Agency Distribution, Ashley Goh.
Before breaking fast, the guests took part in a special tazkirah session hosted by Dato’ Ustaz Kazim Elias, a renowned independent preacher, writer, lecturer, and Islamic consultant who shared meaningful insights about the aspects of perseverance and hardship during this holy month.
The event culminated in a special ceremony to recognise our Q1 Top Producers, who went the extra mile to deliver performance and experience to Clients.
This is certainly a great way to celebrate the achievements and to further gear up the advisors to shine ‘Bolder and Better, Together’ for the rest of the year!

On 1 April 2022, the Distribution team hosted their quarterly ‘Distribution Pulse Check’ to kick-start yet another brighter quarter at the new 1 Utama branch office in Bandar Utama.
Attended by 110 team members, our DCEO, Ho Teck Seng opened the session with a brief welcome remark and updates on corporate developments at Sun Life Malaysia and the industry. CDO, Alvis Wee then took to the stage to share on first-quarter business performance, achievements, and key industry trends.
A lineup of HODs and team leaders from the division also took the opportunity to present strategies to promote constructive discussion that are salient to achieving organisational objectives for 2022. During the event, the importance of risk and compliance were also highlighted through a special session on ‘Essential Discipline to Uphold Compliance & Risk Management Together’.
The event culminated with the inspiring remarks from our CEO, Raymond Lew, which left the team all charged up to achieve their targets for the upcoming quarter and a networking session over light refreshments.
